Empowering Women: Gambling Harm Information Workshop a Success in Hume
On April 8th, 2025, Tawasul Foundation, in collaboration with The Salvation Army Melbourne Counselling Service and Holstep Health Org., successfully hosted an informative workshop in Hume specifically for women from multicultural backgrounds, focusing on understanding and addressing Gambling Harm.
The session provided valuable information and insightful perspectives on this important issue. We extend our sincere gratitude to SSI for supporting this initiative, and The Salvation Army Gambling Support Service, with Holstep Health Gamblers Help. for their invaluable collaboration and efforts in making this workshop a success. A highlight of the day was the inspiring lived experience story shared by Anna Bardsley, which deeply resonated with the audience.
Tawasul Foundation is proud to be at the forefront of bringing such crucial topics to life within our multicultural communities and opening meaningful dialogues, particularly with this group of women. This workshop was a resounding success, equipping attendees with helpful knowledge and encouraging them to share this information within their communities. We extend our sincere gratitude to our partners and to Anna for her powerful contribution.
