Driving Change: A Community-Led Anti-Racism Workshop

In a powerful step in our ongoing anti-racism efforts, the Tawasul Foundation collaborated with the Beth Nahrin Assyria Association and Bloom Community Care to host a vital community workshop.
The discussion was led by Tawasul Foundation’s chairperson Joseph Youhana, the session gathered more than 75 elders from the diaspora community. The discussion was enriched by the valuable perspectives of those who shared their lived experiences, helping participants dive deep into what anti-racism truly means. Together, we identified ways to tackle racism through integration, resilience, and positive inclusion.
Fostering a space for open and constructive dialogue by actively listening to the voices of diverse communities’ members and leaders is central to our mission and everything we strive to achieve. We are convinced that open and engaging conversations pave the best way forward.
